The Console-On-Port buad rate can only be changed by accessing the module's BIOS screen, much the same as setting BIOS configurtions on a PC. ProSoft does not recommend that users access or change values in the module's BIOS with help and instructions from Technical Support. Otherwise, the module could be rendered inoperable.

The card will work with modems, providing that the card does not have to dial a connection. The module can act as a DF1 slave over a dial up modem connection. In this instance the card will act as a DF1 slave and the other device will be the DF1 master and must dial the modem connection.
If leased line or radio modems are being used (n...

The Toshiba VFD supports EtherNet I/P protocol?
Do you have any information on the VFD that talks about making a connection from a AllenBradley ControlLogix processor to the drive? This information will help us to determine what settings are required to make a connection to that VFD using our card.
A device that supports connections...

The 3150-MCM is our older Modbus Communication module. It has been replaced by the MVI46-MCM, a much better module.
The pass-through logic for the 3150-MCM was never fully developed. Implementation for FC 15 pass-through was not included in the samples.
If you would like to send a request for a more complete sample, you should send...

The possibilities are too numerous to address in this forum. I suggest you call ProSoft Tech Support at (661) 716-5100 or e-mail your ladder logic programs and configuration files, along with some more specific questions and information on what you need to do to: support@psft.com.

Stay away from the DAS Servers. They are not compatible with our module. They use Ethernet IP Implicit Messaging and our module only supports Explicit Messaging, the type of messaging used in MSG instruction in RSLogix 500 ladder logic.
Any driver that allows you to address Wonderware database tags as N, F, B, etc data table files in a...

You cannot add new commands to the Master Command List 'on the fly'. This list is loaded to the module as part of the configuration file. To change/add/delete commands from this list requires a download of the modified configuration file.
Using Event Commands, you can send additional commands built 'on-the'fly' under logic control, one...

If you look at our sample ladder logic, you will see we have provided Controller Tags for moving all necessary realtime process data to our module.
The main tag of interest would be AFC56.Meters[x].Variables. There are subtags under this tag for each type of meter that allow you to move the process values appropriate for that meter type...

This sounds like a problem related to the way the MNET modules maintain and update their internal ARP table, the scratchpad that matches IP addresses with hardware MAC addresses. Once a socket has been opened to a device, the ARP table entry is updated and used whenever a command needs to be issued to that device. If a command is sent to a...

As with other I/O modules for the CompactLogix platform, there are limits as to how many modules you can put on one power supply. Also, you are required to balance the load on each side of the power supply. And, the ProSoft MVI69 modules must be installed no more that two slots away from the power supply.
If all these conditions are me...

The incorrect references to the DF1 module have been removed from the current MVI56-DNP User's Manual. Although the Menus shown in the Download/Upload section do not exactly match what displays in HyperTerminal from the module, the PROCEDURE is essentially the same. If you follow the steps as given, you will have a successful download/unl...

1. On this point you are essentially correct. The second NEQ condition is extraneous, will never be false, and may be safely removed...although it also does no harm to leave it there. It is simply extraneous.
2. The comment about Rung 2 is also correct. The LENGTH should be GSC:PxData.WriteLength divided by 2. This will also be tr...

The MVI56-MCMR is, overall, a better choice for use in remote rack applications.
However, the MVI56-MCM can be made to function successfully in remote racks by increasing the RPI time of the module and by increasing the Network Update Time (NUT) in RSNetworx.

If the device attached to our MVI46-DFCM module does not require the use of RTS or CTS lines, then neither does our module. On this module, they are provided only for devices that need them.
There is a concern when using A-B DF1 Half-duplex protocol over radios; especially if they have 'store-and-forward' capability enabled. The DF1 pr...

I am sorry to say that the information in the User's Manual concerning the Slave Status table appears to be a bit misleading. This table is not the best way to determine the status of communication to a given slave. It is really just a 'scratchpad' area of module memory used to store the tempory values of a state engine within the module'...

There are no direct M register addresses for reading the Resettable Accumulators in the MVI46-AFC module. To read these accumulators, you will need to consult the Modbus Map for the module and then use the Modbus Gateway function of the ladder logic to read the Modbus addresses associated with those accumulators.

The only complier ProSoft currently recommends and supports as being 100% compatible with any of our ADM products is the Borland C++ v 5.02.
Since this compiler is no longer available from Borland, the best place to find a copy is usually on eBay. Typical selling prices start at around $50.

If the Square D G3 controller accepts standard Modbus commands, then our standard sample ladder should work with it. ProSoft has no samples written specifically for that third-party product to show how to access it's Modbus database.
