It is not possible to field-upgrade a version 2.01 Prolinx unit to version 2.40. If your unit is not performing correctly and you have been advised by ProSoft Tech Support to upgrade the module, it will have to be returned to ProSoft for the upgrade.
The reason for this is that to go from version 2.01 to version 2.4 is a multi-step upgr...

The 4105 DFCM-PDPS will not communicate on a DH485 network. The part you want is the 4105-DH485-PDPS. If the unit is within warranty, we can offer an exchange.

Without seeing exactly how you have the module configured right now, it's hard to make reasonable suggestions for changes. For specific advice on how to modifiy your configuration for your application, please attach your existing configuration file to an e-mail and send your request to support@prosoft-technology.com.

For questions like this, the best way to get your issues resolved quickly would be to put all this information into an e-mail. Include the ProLinx configuration file for your module and a copy of your RSLogix5000 ladder logic. Send it all to: support@prosoft-technology.com. Most often, the cause of the symptoms you report is usually tracked-down to a hardware-related or network configuration issue, like a hub/switch/router not passing Ethernet packets, bad Ethernet cables, or mismatched subnet masks or IP addresses. To diagnose why you can comm...

Some devices/controllers have internal configurations that must be used to enable writing to them. Even if you can already read values from them, they might require a different configuration setting or jumper in the controller to allow them to be written to. Also, make sure you are writing to the correct addresses and are not trying to writ...

Tipically this problem is caused by a faulted power supply (lot of noise). Maybe the power supply works well with some devices but it puts too much noise on the serial line. I would like to get more information about this case. If is posible call us to the support numbers and use your last case number.

Auto_man,
Yes, RSLinx OPC Server can be setup to work with the ProLinx DFNT driver.

2. Create a DDE Topic
3. In the Data Collection tab, choose Logix5000 as the processor type
