Our RadioLinx Technical Support Engineers reply: The AUX port on the RLX-IH radio is receive only so you will need to use a splitter connected to the MAIN port if you want to communicate with directional antennas in 2 different directions

At the risk of sounding flippant, "The proof," as they say, " is in the pudding." Sounds like you already have all the justification you need. No amout of technical jargon is going to provide any better evidence than the empirical data you have already collected in your real-world test. The cheap radios don't work and...

Hello Adrian, It sounds like either the baud rates between the PC and the radio are different or the cable is not a straight through cable. Here are instructions for fixing the baud rate in the radio and accessing it. Be sure that your PC is connected to the RS-232 port of the radio and you are using a straight through serial cable (no...

There is an issue when using the MAC ID filter with the RLX-IH radios that causes the Repeater to lose link. There is a new version of software that fixes this problem. It is currently being validated and it will be released in the near future. For now, the workaround is to turn off the MAC ID filter.

Thank you, It sounds SO obvious now you mention it, but it hadn't crossed my mind. The 3db loss will be less than changing from Yagi to omnidirectional.
