Programming MVI56-ADM
Hi,
I see in the developers guide that recommended compliers are "Borland C++ v3.1" and "Borland C++ V5.03". I have access to "Borland C++ Builder 6" (as well as versions 3 and 4 of C++ Builder), can this be used to compile modules for the MVi56-ADM? If not, where can I get either of the two recommend compliers? I'm unable to find a retailer that stocks them... Failing that, what are the alternatives?
ps. I have tried several free C/C++ compliers but have been able to get the sample application to compile (because it is Borland specific?).

RE:Programming MVI56-ADM
Trevorh,
The only versions supported are - Borland C++ V3.1 and V5.02. I've listed several places where you can obtain a copy.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I can't help feel a little incredulous at this. So can you please confirm absolutely for me: One of these two compilers is REQUIRED to compile code for the module, but they are NOT supplied with the module?

Tervorh,
We are working hard on getting compatibilty with other compilers, but we have no time frame as to when that will happen.
To answer your question; yes, one of the Borland C++ packages are required, and they are not included with any of our modules.

Yes, Trevor. That is confirmed. The information is correct, for now.

RE:Programming MVI56-ADM
Having to buy a seperate compiler is normal. When you buy a PC to develop on, you need to buy a compiler in order to develop code. Their module is simply a PC in a rack, so the idea is the same, I believe. Just my two cents.
