In using a barcode scanner. The incoming barcode shows up in the controllogix processor as GSC.P3_Data.ReadString copied from the input table, for a length of 200. Only 8 bits of the barcode will show up. Sometimes they are the beginning 8,sometimes middle 8, or last bits. Everything looks to be configured correctly. All bits show up, including the termination characters, when using Hyperterminal and data analyzer on the configure port. Any suggestions?

There could be several things which could cause this: termination characters in the string, wrong termination type, data is transmitted faster than the GSC can handle (not likely), etc.
