RE:MVI56 problem

What kind of MVI56 module do you have and what is your Server? If it is a MVI56-MNET and you used our sample ladder logic and configuration file, we have sample commands in the samples that the module would send once activated; but, we need more details about your problem before we can provide specific answers.

RE:MVI56 problem

ok.... here is my information

Module: MVI56-GEC
Server side: PC with Red Hat LINUX 7.0

I'm using 1 client 1 server sample ladder in the ControlLogix5555.

it keeps sending packets to the server(PC side) by itself.
Also, the packets are all trash stuff

Thanks for helping...!

RE:MVI56 problem

The MVI56-GEC Client will not send messages to a Server unless the Client is told to do so by ladder logic. Whatever it is doing, it is doing due to ladder logic. To help diagnose your problem, you need to send a copy of the ladder logic you are using to: Support@prosoft-technology.com.

Once a Technical Support Engineer has a chance to study your logic, he can probably make recommendations on how to correct your problem. It would also be helpful to know what the content needs to be of the ASCII messages you do wish to send to/recieve from the Server, whether they are Read or Write messages, etc; so, please include as many details about your desired application as you can in the e-mail with your ladder logic.
